In the upcoming science fiction adventure film “57 Seconds” from Highland Film Group, directed by Rusty Cundieff, actors Josh Hutcherson and Morgan Freeman learn the art of time travel. The intriguing twist in this movie is that the time travel experience is limited to only 57 seconds. Despite the brief timeframe, the trailer promises that a lot can happen within that span.

The story follows a tech blogger who stumbles upon a time-altering device. Seeking revenge against a heartless corporate empire that destroyed his family, he uses the device to rewrite the past. However, his actions set off a series of terrifying events, forcing him into a pulse-pounding battle for survival where every second counts.

The cast includes Lovie Simone, Greg Germann, Sammi Rotibi, Lucius Baston, and Aaron Jay Rome, joining Hutcherson and Freeman in this action-packed adventure.

Co-written by Rusty Cundieff and Macon Blair, who is known for his roles in various movies and series like “Reservation Dogs,” “The Florida Project,” and “Room 104,” “57 Seconds” promises an intense and thrilling cinematic experience.

For Josh Hutcherson, known for his role in “The Hunger Games” saga alongside Jennifer Lawrence, this film marks his triumphant return to the big screen after being absent from the industry for a couple of years. Alongside “57 Seconds,” Hutcherson is also set to star in the highly anticipated adaptation of the horror video game “Five Nights at Freddy’s,” produced by Blumhouse and directed by Emma Tammi. In this movie, Hutcherson plays a security guard working the night shift at a pizza place haunted by animatronic figures that come to life with a thirst for blood.

Furthermore, Hutcherson has other exciting projects lined up, including starring in James Franco’s next film “The Long Home,” where he joins an ensemble cast featuring Zoe Levin, Tim Blake Nelson, Courtney Love, Giancarlo Esposito, Ashton Kutcher, Robin Lord Taylor, and more.

He will also be part of David Ayer’s upcoming film “The Beekeeper,” sharing the screen with Jason Statham, Jeremy Irons, Emmy Raver-Lampman, and Bobby Naderi.

With its intriguing concept of time travel and a talented cast, “57 Seconds” has the potential to be an enthralling and memorable addition to the sci-fi genre. Moviegoers can look forward to catching this heart-racing action thriller in theaters in September.
