To do so, it is likely that the movie will see Miles venture through even more universes in his quest to escape the Prowler variant of Miles introduced in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse‘s ending and get back to his own universe to stop the Spot from killing his father.
With Spider-Man 2099’s team and Gwen’s own multiverse team of Spider-Men set to fight in the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse follow-up, a sequence featuring the two teams trading blows across different universes would be exciting. Spider-Rex’s universe appears as a perfect setting for the Spider-Man variants to fight in, as the concept art depicts the universe as a dark and dangerous place, akin to the Jurassic Park movies.
