Tom Holland is among the many actors who have had the opportunity to portray Spider-Man on the big screen. He not only became Peter Parker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe but also had the groundbreaking experience of crossing over with the multiverse in live action. In his most recent film, Spider-Man: No Way Home, he was able to bring back Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield to fight alongside him.

While fans have a great love for all three actors, especially Tobey for being the first to bring the character to life on the big screen, it seems that Holland holds relative newcomer Miles Morales in high regard.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is not only a favorite among a large part of the character’s fandom but also among a few celebrities, including Tom Holland. In an interview with The Associated Press, Holland confessed that the first Spider-Verse movie is his favorite and expressed his excitement for the upcoming sequel:

“I believe the first Spider-Verse movie is the best Spider-Man movie ever made. I am extremely proud of everyone involved. Amy Pascal is like a mother figure to me. I was supposed to accompany her as her date, but unfortunately, I couldn’t make it due to work commitments. Nevertheless, I am incredibly proud of them, and I’m eagerly looking forward to the second installment. I’m confident it will exceed all expectations, and I cannot wait to see it.”

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse not only serves as Morales’ definitive introduction to the cinematic world but also represents a new era for animation. It tells a unique story that diverges from the previous portrayals of the hero, and Sony Pictures aims to push boundaries further with the sequel.

In the highly anticipated sequel, Miles has gained control over his powers and is actively working as the arachnid hero from Brooklyn, all while trying to balance his life as Spider-Man and as a teenager. This proves to be more challenging than he anticipated.

When he reunites with Gwen, she takes him to the Spider-Verse, a realm where numerous Spider-People from different dimensions unite to save the multiverse. Miles yearns to join them as it seems like a place where he can truly be understood. However, the leader of the group forbids his participation.

Miguel O’Hara has established this team to combat The Spot, a formidable villain wreaking havoc across the multiverse, originating from Miles’ own world. O’Hara believes that the only way to save all realities is to destroy the world Miles comes from. Naturally, the young Spider-Man cannot allow that to happen.

Miles must confront not only The Spot but the entire team of Spider-People in his quest to protect his loved ones and everything he holds dear.
