Thanks to my dad, I was born into the fast family. I can’t believe now I get to be up there too, with those who have been around to see me grow up.”
Expressing her appreciation, Walker thanked the film’s director, Louis Leterrier, for his kindness, patience, and support. She mentioned that it felt like he had been part of the family since the beginning and expressed her excitement that this was only the beginning of her journey in the franchise.
Additionally, she expressed gratitude to producer Brandon Birtell, who was her father’s best friend and has now become her own best friend, for making her involvement in the film possible.
Ending her message on an emotional note, Walker wrote, “I am so blessed to be able to honor my father’s legacy and share this with him forever.
I love you all so much.” Her heartfelt words were met with an outpouring of support from the Fast & Furious family, including Vin Diesel and Scott Eastwood. Eastwood, in particular, expressed how proud Paul Walker would be of his daughter and assured her that he was smiling about her cameo.
Paul Walker, who portrayed street racer Brian O’Conner in five installments of the Fast & Furious franchise, tragically passed away in a car collision in November 2013 at the age of 40. His contributions to the series left a lasting impact on both the fans and his fellow cast members.
