Renowned actor Kevin Durand has been announced as the newest addition to the star-studded cast of the upcoming monster thriller directed by Radio Silence’s Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett.

This highly anticipated project, which is still untitled, is being produced by Universal and promises to offer a fresh and unique take on legendary monster lore, following in the footsteps of the successful films “The Invisible Man” and “Renfield.”

Durand joins a talented ensemble that includes previously announced cast members Melissa Barrera, Alisha Weir, and Dan Stevens. Universal’s approach to their monster films sets them apart, as they are rooted in the horror genre and allow for complete creative freedom in terms of budget, rating, and genre.

Penned by Stephen Sheilds with revisions by Guy Busick, the script for this thrilling monster film is sure to captivate audiences. The production team behind the project is helmed by Chad Villella of Radio Silence, who will produce alongside William Sherak, Paul Neinstein, and James Vanderbilt from Project X Entertainment.

Tripp Vinson is also attached as a producer, with Jay Polidoro, Holly Goline, Kelly Cannon, and Jacqueline Garell overseeing the project on behalf of Universal. Fans can mark their calendars, as the film is set to hit theaters on April 19, 2024.
