An odd image of Billy the Puppet ahead of Saw X sees Jigsaw turn a kid-friendly PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie maze into an inescapable Saw trap. Saw X and PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie will both be releasing in theaters on September 29, 2023. This has led to some referring to them as “Saw Patrol,” a double feature inspired by the Barbie and Oppenheimer combination “Barbenheimer” from July.

Now, Saw has posted a bizarre image of Billy the Puppet from Saw X turning a maze from PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie into an inescapable trap.

The image shows four members of the PAW Patrol being trapped in a maze by Jigsaw. The serial killer has scrawled the words “GAME OVER” on the maze as well, a reference to a signature phrase from the franchise.

Is Saw Patrol The Next Big Double Feature?

Saw Patrol Mashup Image

Saw Patrol could be the new Barbenheimer if more attention is drawn to Saw X and PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie‘s shared release date. Much like Barbie and Oppenheimer, the upcoming Saw and PAW Patrol films are very dissimilar in tone and target audience, making the crossover double feature fell ridiculous. While PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie is a children’s film based on Nick Jr.’s PAW Patrol series, Saw X is a gory horror film featuring horrifying traps set up by Jigsaw.

Given the vast difference between both movies, it seems like Saw Patrol has potential to be another interesting double feature, though likely more niche than Barbenheimer. However, Saw Patrol was first touted by a tweet from Paramount Pictures, indicating the push for a crossover didn’t originate from fan observations like Barbenheimer did. Because the crossover is being acknowledged by the Saw Twitter account, it may feel too forced to get as much traction as Barbenheimer.

However, it’s still possible Saw Patrol becomes a small-scale crossover, with a few people going to see Saw X and PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie on opening weekend. While Saw Patrol is unlikely to get the same attention as Barbenheimer, the joke double feature could be referenced again before September 29. Though it seems doubtful PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie will respond to Saw X turning their maze into a Jigsaw trap.
