The Fantastic Four will be making their way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in 2025, and the casting for the film has been a hot topic of discussion.
While rumors have been flying around regarding potential cast members, nothing has been officially confirmed as of yet.
However, a new report by Daniel Richtman on his Patreon suggests that actor Paul Mescal has been offered the role of Johnny Storm, aka the Human Torch.
Mescal is an Oscar and Emmy-nominated actor, known for his work in projects like “Aftersun” and “Normal People,” and will soon be seen in Ridley Scott’s “Gladiator 2.”
If the rumors are true, Mescal would be a great addition to the cast and would bring star quality to the reboot.
As of now, there have been no official announcements made by Disney or Marvel about the casting for any of the characters in the film. Mescal certainly looks young enough to play the youngest member of the Fantastic Four, Johnny Storm.
The movie is expected to follow the comics and have Johnny and Peter Parker as the same age.
With Mila Kunis already confirming that she knows who has been cast, and Adam Driver rumors continuing to crop up, fans are eagerly waiting for any official news.
Marvel may be waiting for the reactions to the upcoming “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” before announcing any official casting decisions.
Alternatively, they could wait for a major convention, like the San Diego Comic-Con, to reveal the news.Until then, fans can only continue to speculate about who will be playing these critical roles in the future of the MCU.
