First trailer for Taika Waititi’s ‘Next Goal Wins’ released.

The first trailer for “Next Goal Wins” debuted at CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Wednesday. Directed by Taika Waititi, the soccer feature is based on the 2014

documentary of the same name and follows the national football team of American Samoa as they attempt to become a FIFA World Cup-qualifying outfit under Dutch coach Thomas Rongen.

The trailer is set to ABBA’s “Take a Chance on Me,” and begins with Michael Fassbender’s Rongen being fired and sent to American Samoa for a new job.

The cast also includes Will Arnett, Elisabeth Moss, David Fane, Beulah Koale, Oscar Kightley, and Lehi Falepapalangi. The film is set to be released on November 17 by Searchlight Pictures.
