The Fast & Furious franchise has been known for its high-octane action and larger-than-life characters.
But there’s one character whose fate has been a source of controversy among fans: Han, played by Sung Kang . In 2013’s Fast & Furious 6, Han was killed off in a shocking twist that left fans reeling.
And the fact that his death was caused by Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham), a character who would later become part of the Fast & Furious family, only added insult to injury.
But the franchise has been teasing “justice for Han” for years now, and it looks like Fast X is finally going to deliver on that promise.
In an exclusive sneak peek shared by EW, we see Han confronting Shaw about something, only to have the situation devolve into a brawl when Han pulls out a bag of snacks. It’s a chaotic and action-packed scene that promises to be a highlight of the movie.

Director Louis Leterrier has promised that this moment will be “special,” and it’s clear that he’s aware of how important it is to fans to see justice done for Han.
“They are mortal enemies and it was teased at the end of the last one, so what greater way to truly bring justice to Han than have your battle royale between these two iconic characters?” he said. “They’re fantastic. You’ll see. It’s really fun and special.”
For fans who have been waiting years to see justice done for Han, this is sure to be a satisfying moment.
And for those who have been following the franchise for years, it’s a reminder of how much the characters have evolved over time, and how much they mean to fans. Fast X races into theaters on May 19, and it looks like it’s going to be one wild ride.
