Every filmmaker aims for a perfect release date, but clashes with other movies based on audience capturing and occasion happen occasionally. In August, Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 and Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 are set to clash.

However, a recent report reveals that the makers of OMG 2 are contemplating shifting the release date after the Censor Board’s Revising Committee gave the film an A rating with 20 edits.

OMG 2 is the sequel to the 2012 satirical comedy-drama, starring Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi. Unfortunately, the movie is facing certification challenges, with only 16 days left for release.

The Censor Board’s committee suggested giving the film an A certificate with 20 cuts, focusing on the discussion of sex education for viewers of all ages.

With the A certificate and cuts, the makers are now considering postponing the release to fight against the suggested changes and ensure proper promotion.

The decision will be intriguing, as it could follow the path of films like Udta Punjab, which challenged the committee’s cuts before their release.

As the situation unfolds, audiences and industry enthusiasts will be curious to see whether OMG 2’s release date will be rescheduled or if the filmmakers will challenge the certification hurdles set by the Censor Board’s Revising Committee.
