The highly anticipated “Dune: Part Two” film by director Denis Villeneuve has released a first look at the villainous Feyd-Rautha , played by Austin Butler.
The recent Oscar nominee for his portrayal of Elvis Presley in Baz Luhrmann’s “Elvis” takes on the role previously played by Sting in David Lynch’s 1984 adaptation.
Feyd-Rautha is the evil nephew of Baron Harkonnen , played by Stellan Skarsgård, and the brother of Glossu Rabban, played by Dave Bautista in Villeneuve’s franchise.

The two brothers compete to become the successor of the Harkonnen family on the planet Arrakis.
In a sneak peek of the film released by Vanity Fair, Villeneuve only revealed Butler’s character from behind, teasing the character’s appearance for a later press tour.
However, a trailer teaser has now revealed Feyd-Rautha’s bald and terrifying appearance, showcasing his Machiavellian and strategic personality.

“ Rabban wants to please,” said Villeneuve about the differences between the two Harkonnen nephews. “He’s not very intelligent. Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen is a very clever, very charismatic figure, and much more brilliant.”
According to Bautista, Butler shed his Elvis persona to fully embody the terrifying Feyd-Rautha. “His voice is different, his look is different. Everything about his demeanor is terrifying,” said Bautista.
