After garnering praise for his earlier films “Lion” and “Mary Magdalene,” director Garth Davis returns with “Foe,” a gripping apocalyptic thriller featuring Academy Award-nominees Saoirse Ronan and Paul Mescal.

The film, based on a novel by renowned author Iain Reid, explores the marriage of Han and Junior in a world of uncertainty. Their lives take a dramatic turn when a stranger arrives, revealing that Junior has been chosen for a two-year space mission, leaving his wife uneasy.

Terrance, the representative from the space company, assures Han that she won’t be alone during Junior’s absence; a biomechanical replica of him will be there to protect her. As Terrance gathers data to create an accurate replica of Junior, the couple’s relationship faces further challenges.

Vanity Fair recently unveiled exclusive images from the film, featuring Ronan, Mescal, and Aaron Pierre as Terrance. Garth Davis explained that the movie encourages viewers to awaken to the preciousness of life and face challenges head-on.
